Every Saturday come rain, or shine the Sandgate Run Club assembles to complete a social 5km run along the seafront. During summer months this normally ends in a sea dip, beach chills, and of course coffee.

We head to one of the great local coffee shops in Sandgate, Mr Whippets or Orchard Lane are our regular haunts, for a much needed caffeine and carb refuel.

If you’re just starting out, or an experienced runner looking to find some like minds, the Saturday run is perfect for you. All abilities are catered for and you’ll never be alone.

TIME: 9am meet (9:15am set off)
